She got her start in the natural products industry shortly after graduating from the California Culinary Academy in 2007. She worked on the retail side for several years at Good Earth Natural Foods in Fairfax, CA, before joining Yin Yang in 2013. Alison is passionate about working with healthy, environmentally responsible products, and she is incredibly grateful to support the exceptional YYN team in their mission to “do business and do good at the same time.”

Amy grew up in Seattle then moved to Spokane with her family in high school. She got her start in the organic industry in Spokane when friends started a tiny but mighty organic food store with $2,000 they had earned on the ski slopes. Her experience running the retail store strengthened her passion for organic foods.
When Rosauers launched their first Huckleberry’s in 1996, Amy ended up working there for over 10 years in various positions. She earned her B.A. in International Affairs from EWU and moved to Portland where she took a position with Kettle Foods. That cemented her commitment to a career in organics and over the next years she found herself back in retail, then a broker for five years, calling on new INFRA and NCG accounts. When KeHE opened in the Pacific Northwest, she took on the position of Senior Account Manager to handle the New Seasons Market business and later was promoted to Sales Director - West to launch KeHE Fresh.
Amy loves learning new parts of the industry as a whole and is always looking for opportunities to deepen her understanding of the business. Amy's passions are travel, live music, spending time outside near water and reading. She's happiest in New Orleans or on any kind of boat, and she will always celebrate Mardi Gras!

Derek was born in Wichita, Kansas, and got his start in the natural foods industry in the mid ‘90s while attending Wichita State University. He worked at two small, local natural foods stores in Wichita before moving to Lawrence, KS, where he worked at the Community Merc Co+op for several years.
In late 2001, Derek migrated west and ended up in Sonoma County, where he’s been ever since. Not long after moving to Santa Rosa, he stumbled upon Community Market, a worker-run, not-for-profit natural foods store. He knew right away that he had found his next job. He spent the next 17 years there, quickly working his way up to grocery buyer and then manager. He spent six years on the board of directors, and helped design and build Community Market’s second store in Sebastopol, which opened in 2013.
Derek is very passionate about natural and organic foods and products, and genuinely loves working in the industry. When he’s not working with food, cooking, or eating, he’s usually out on his bike somewhere, hanging out at the beach, or home playing music.
Erin first fell in love with organic and natural foods while earning her Bachelors of Science in Animal Science & Management at UC Davis. She hopped on the Yin Yang Naturals bus to combine two of her greatest passions: food with a purpose, and the sharing of that food with others! After working at an independent grocery store in the East Bay (Diablo Foods) and hands on with locally raised, high quality eats at the UC Davis Meat Department, she learned that great food has integrity, and natural, wholesome foods are important not only as palate pleasers, but also for our well-being.
Erin enjoys diving deeper into her love for the outdoors, sustainability, and playing music. When she’s not out on the road with Yin Yang she’ll be out on road trips, hikes, her yoga mat, or playing saxophone in her jazz-funk band.
