Gena Nasset brings heaps of practical work experience to the Yin Yang team. Much of her professional history is composed of small business administration and management roles with an emphasis on start-up, marketing and brand development. With exposure to several industries, Gena found a personal passion for the Wellness Industry, and in 2004 began formal training as a therapeutic yoga instructor and Thai massage therapist. Marla grew up in Northern New Jersey, and made her way up to Massachusetts to teach middle school English and History at a start-up independent middle school for low income families. While teaching, she realized she could have a bigger impact on the girls through coaching and mentoring them in health, sports, and overall wellness. She also spearheaded the school's first Community Service Club and Sustainability Club.
Following her teaching gig, Marla was inspired to start a healthy snack food company in Boston called Enerchi Bites. She immersed herself in Boston’s natural food business ecosystem and developed valuable relationships with like-minded founders, retailers, and small business owners. Marla had a blast learning the nuts and bolts of running a food business, but ultimately decided to focus on the most enjoyable side of the business: sales and marketing. Today, Marla continues to pursue her passion for supporting food entrepreneurs and promoting healthier food products in her community.
In her free time, Marla loves to experiment in the kitchen, teach and practice yoga, study plant medicine, hike, swim, rock climb, and cycle with friends and family. Always remember to ask her about what tasty samples she’s carrying around in her backpack!
Victoria has been visiting independent health food stores since the 80's; she was raised as a banana chip and natural peanut butter kid. Born in New Jersey and raised in beautiful Maine, Victoria graduated cum laude with a degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern Maine. While in school, she worked part time for the medical practice of a Naturopath and Osteopath, which solidified her belief that the body can do amazing things when supported by good nutrition and supplements.

She later worked in the Whole Body department at Whole Foods Market in Portland ME, beginning as a part-time team member. Victoria moved to Massachusetts in order to grow and worked at several of the Boston stores as a Whole Body Team Leader before moving to New Hampshire and opening the first two Whole Foods in the state.
