Midwest: Senior Territory Manager

 

Details

This is a full-time, salaried position. The Midwest Senior Territory Manager supervises and supports YYN Territory Managers in MN, WI, IL, MI, IA, OH, NE, and reports to the Eastern Regional Manager. 

Key Responsibilities

Senior Territory Managers lead by example and effectively coach their teams to ensure they are continuously learning, improving, and contributing to overall organizational goals. They create positive and trusting relationships with all brand and distributor contacts and have the industry and territory knowledge to develop and execute strategic sales plans which strengthen our brands and increase their sales. They are committed to our core value of Kaizen – continuous improvement – and to working with us to uphold and improve our B Corporation status and goals.

Key Measurables
  1. Evaluate performance of team members and provide real-time (and bi-annual conversation) feedback.

  2. Lead weekly regional team calls to manage achievement of new item launches, void fills, Kaizen objectives, and promotion execution at key retailers.

  3. Weekly calls with H&G leadership to discuss action items. 

  4. Develop and recommend strategic/sound promotional plans for key principals.

  5. Be proactive in recommending ways to increase sales for principals.

  6. Present and receive buyer approval for new lines/SKUs.

  7. Secure prime placement: eye level, end cap, added facings, multiple locations. Send "Before and After" pictures of improved sets. 

  8. Prepare and submit New Items Forms, Distributor and Retail Promotions, etc. as needed

  9. Identify and evaluate new line/brand opportunities.

  10. Quarterly progress report and brainstorming meetings with YYN regional leads.

Requirements
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in natural products sales and merchandising.

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience managing teams of at least 5 people (direct reports).

  • Willing and able to travel frequently (reliable transportation required).

  • Willing and able to work flexible hours (overnights/early mornings).

  • Positive attitude.

  • Extreme attention to detail and time management skills.

  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner.

  • Skilled in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

  • Interest in organic food and products.

Southwest (Dallas): Territory Manager

 

Details 

This is a full-time, salaried position. The Dallas Territory Manager provides support to our brands and key accounts in Dallas, TX, and provides support to surrounding regions as needed. Reports to the Southwest Senior Territory Manager. 

Key Responsibilities

Territory Managers develop and strengthen relationships in their territory with regional buyers, store chain buyers, independent and Co-Op buyers, and store staff. They create positive and trusting relationships with all brand and distributor contacts and are experts in all lines represented in their region. They are committed to our core value of Kaizen – continuous improvement – and to working with us to uphold and improve our B Corporation status and goals.

Key Measurables
  1. Present and receive buyer approval for new lines/SKUs.

  2. Ongoing and timely communication with YYN team and principals.

  3. Improve placement of products: eye level, multiple facings, end cap, multiple locations.

  4. Report to YYN team and principals with before/after pics.

  5. Store visits to complete audits of YYN lines w/ suggestions for opportunities.

  6. Help store buyers restock shelves during store visits.

  7. Ensure out-of-stock SKUs are reordered immediately (via turnover or scanning sell sheets).

  8. Administrative follow up for your retailers (New Item Forms, turnover orders, prepare and submit promo submissions, etc).

 

Requirements
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in natural products sales, retail, or distribution strongly preferred.

  • Willing and able to travel frequently (reliable transportation required).

  • Willing and able to work flexible hours (overnights/early mornings).

  • Positive attitude.

  • Extreme attention to detail and time management skills.

  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner.

East Bay + SF (CA): Hustle & Grow Merchandiser

 

Details

This is a full-time, salaried position. The Hustle & Grow East Bay/SF Merchandiser provides support to our brands and key accounts in the East Bay, from Richmond to Fremont, and San Francisco. This position reports to the Hustle & Grow Western Regional Manager. 

Key Responsibilities

Hustle & Grow Merchandisers seek out and implement in-set improvements, fill voids, secure secondary placements, and coordinate displays, deals, and cut-ins, all with store approval. They work with a high level of energy and focus. They seek to maintain excellent relationships at the store level, with their Yin Yang team members, and with our principals.

Key Measurables
  1. Fill voids per planogram as permitted by stores/HQ.

  2. Ongoing and timely communication with team and principals.

  3. Kaizen: Seek out and implement improvements in-set for brands, with store approval. Includes but not limited to getting closer to eye level, brand blocking, adding facings/increasing shelf space, color breaking, changing SKU flow, etc.

  4. Track and record activity via Repsly field software. Client will have full access and up to the minute status (includes pictures, notes, location stamps, etc.). 

  5. Increase brand exposure and build recognition by placing shelf-talkers, window clings, shelf strips, etc., when allowed by stores.

  6. Ensure out-of-stock SKUs are reordered immediately (via turnover or scanning sell sheets).

  7. Confirm retailer execution for off-shelf agreements and TPR price points.

 

Requirements
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in natural products retail or merchandising strongly preferred.

  • Willing and able to travel frequently (reliable transportation required).

  • Willing and able to work flexible hours (overnights/early mornings).

  • Positive attitude.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize quickly.

  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. regularly and stand for at least 8 hours. 

  • Skilled in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Clear written and spoken communication skills.

  • Interest in organic food and products.
